Korea Tourism Organisation Showcases Korea’s Growing MICE Potential at Mumbai Roadshow 2026

The Korea Tourism Organisation (KTO) India hosted the Korea MICE Roadshow 2026 in Mumbai, bringing together key stakeholders from India’s travel trade and corporate sectors to showcase South Korea’s rapidly expanding MICE ecosystem and strengthen bilateral tourism partnerships. The roadshow highlighted Korea’s emergence as one of Asia’s leading destinations for business events, backed by world-class convention infrastructure, cutting-edge technology, seamless connectivity, smart city initiatives, and immersive cultural experiences. With strong government support and innovative event offerings, Korea continues to attract international meetings, conventions, and incentive groups from across the globe.

A key focus of the event was KTO’s comprehensive support framework for Indian MICE groups. Delegates were introduced to the popular Korea MICE Group Visa Program, which offers visa fee waivers, expedited processing, and simplified documentation for eligible groups, making travel planning more convenient and efficient.

KTO also unveiled its Customised MICE Support Program 2026, designed to enhance delegate experiences through a range of tailored benefits based on group size and event requirements. These include destination experience fees, souvenirs, official dinner support, cultural performances, charter bus arrangements, K-pop experience booths, K-food trucks, welcome receptions, team-building activities, and professionally produced trip highlight videos.

Speaking at the event, Myong Kil Yun, Regional Director, India & SAARC Countries, Korea Tourism Organisation, said, “Korea is not just a destination for business events—it is a place where business, culture, innovation, and unforgettable experiences come together. The encouraging response from our Indian partners reflects the growing confidence in Korea as a preferred MICE destination, and we look forward to welcoming even larger groups and fostering deeper collaborations in the years ahead.”

The roadshow also featured the felicitation of Indian actress and Korea Tourism Honorary Ambassador Priyanka Mohan, who was officially appointed by KTO on June 1, 2026, at the KTO Seoul Centre, HiKR Ground. Following her appointment, Priyanka Mohan participated in a curated familiarisation trip across Seoul and Gyeongju, experiencing Korea’s vibrant blend of heritage and modernity through K-beauty, local cuisine, traditional markets, cultural landmarks, and contemporary attractions.

Expressing her enthusiasm, she said, “It is a privilege to serve as Korea Tourism’s Honorary Ambassador in India. Korea’s people, culture, and warmth have left a lasting impression on me, and I look forward to promoting its remarkable destinations and unique experiences to Indian travellers.”

Through the Korea MICE Roadshow 2026, KTO reaffirmed its commitment to deepening India–Korea tourism ties and positioning Korea as a preferred destination for world-class business events and incentive travel.
